Last year, about this time, one of my piano heroes (Anthony Burger) died quite suddenly. This afternoon, after I got back from a small piano performance, I received word that another of my piano heroes - Roger Bennett - went home to be with the Lord today. Roger Bennett was another one of my favorite pianists - very talented, very humble, always willing to share his knowledge, a great sense of humor, and loved the Lord. He battled leukemia for over ten years, and seemed to be winning the battle until just recently, when the disease came back with a vengeance. He's pain-free now, and is in the place that he'd been playing & singing about for so long. But his family, friends and fans left behind are, of course, still sad. Not for him - he knew where he was headed . . . he's experiencing Heaven! But, he was so young........so talented. . . . such a nice person . . . . If you could spare a prayer for his family, I know they could use it.
