I think its about $1.70 in my area right now when I was in Washington DC in August gas was cheaper there than it was where I live

Just dropped to $1.72 here in Wisconsin. Darn gas tax.....our state applied a gas tax about 5 years ago to help with road repairs. Not sure where the moneys going now, it's sure not for the roads I travel on.

But I'm happy with a buck seventy two. Lets hope it drops more because it sure is nice gasing up under 20 dollars.

Just now on the news, an oil company executive said he expects gas prices to be $1.00 per gallon by early in 2009!

I know what you mean, Rhonda. When it was $4.56 a gallon here, I was sure that we'd NEVER see gas prices under $2.00 a gallon again. Guess we'll just have to wait and see if the oil exec is correct.

Now........Since the grocery stores jacked up the prices of food because of high gas prices, wouldn't you think that we should see the prices of groceries begin to fall?
