May health Update

I'm glad to hear your mom is doing well, but goodness gracious you're having a hard time. Prayers continue.

Hi all,
Thanks for your prayers for my mom. Her eyesight is really getting a lot better since her surgery on Jan 16th. She is almost finished her eye drops and has most of the month of Feb to recover before she will have her left eye worked on. It is fun to watch her read with her new eye things that were blurry before. She can see better without her glasses with that eye than she can with them and the other eye. I suspect that she will be able to give up her glasses after the next surgery and only need reading glasses. See, your prayers have helped so much.

I have been steadly getting better after my last epidode on Jan 25th in the ER. I had 2 days off work and spent the greater part of 4 days in bed. It wasn't fun but the rest was greatly needed. I went to work this last week but wasn't feeling the best. Each day got easier but I came home and napped after every day of work. My dr phoned on Thursday and told me that results for the ultrasound that I mentioned in my first post had come back and everything was normal, the cyst that I had the last time had disappeared. They were overjoyed but I wasn't. I am hoping that they will still see that I am still suffering. I have an appointment to see my dr this coming Tuesday and so I pray that he will see and understand that I need to see a specialist. Please pray for me as I go to see him this week. I have been having this problem for almost 4 years and I need to get something done to fix it.

Good news.

I'll keep praying, my dear Marilyn. As for your mom...I'm really happy she is seeing more and more after January 16, when she got surgery. I'm sure that she will give up her glasses after her February surgery...

Glad to hear your mom is doing so well, Marilyn. Both my brother in law and sister in law have had lasik surgery and no longer need glasses or contacts. Unbelieveable. I'm really don't mind wearing contacts, so I haven't considered having it done yet. Maybe someday.

Sure do wish they could figure out what's going on with you. Have they done a renal scan? I have to wonder if you have kindey dysfunction like my mom. If the kidneys are out of whack, everything is out of whack. Also, as I've mentioned before, your thryroid could be the culprit too....both it and the kidneys are so detrimental to our well-being.

Went to the dr this afternoon. I was hoping that he would be able to give me a referral to a dr who could eventually remove the objects which are causing the pain that I have been in. But I was told that through all of the tests that I have had have never pinpointed the exact reason for the pain and so he said that NO surgeon would even attempt to remove one thing or another if they weren't sure that it was the reason for the problem. I asked him about the cysts and if the ovary could be removed and he said that the surgeon wouln't do it and then have me come back in 6 months with the same pain and a body part missing without a cure. I guess it makes sense but it didn't help my emotions at the time or now. He poked gently and I squirmed more than ever. It was torture.
So, I have a new medication to take to help take away a new symptom and have to call back in 2 weeks. I'm ready to cry, God is going to have to rock me to sleep tonight and mend my heart.

SO sorry Marilyn. A doctor should know that a person is in alot of pain if they are wanting surgery! Is there any way you could come to the states to see a doctor? I know this is really getting you down. God has been with you all 4 yrs so let him lead. I will continue in prayer for you!

Sounds to me like you need a total hysterectomy, but you need to find a doctor willing to do it.....so sorry they aren't willing to work with you.....

I know it has to be so frustrating they haven't found any answers for your pain yet. I can't remember, have you tried another doctor for a second opinion? You are in my prayers.

A dear friend took me to the ER last night. I was in extreme pain. Dr ordeed another ultrasound which will be at 10am this morning back at the hospital. I then have to go back to the ER to get the results, will be a very long day. Please pray that something shows up to proove that I'm not out of my mind. If they find something, I may be admitted. God is good, all the time. I am in His hands.

Ultrasound showed no cycst. Pain was lesser today than yesterday so that may mean cysts had already burst, or were never there in the first place. Hope it was the first option. Dr sent me home and told me to keep taking painkillers. Please keep praying. Love to all of you.

I'm confused...So, the cyst are no there anymore? The former test showed that they were there? How cvould it be??? The worst of it if you are suffering too much pain, and doctors MUST find a way to help you in some way.

Of course I'll keep praying.

I had a cyst and it burst, so that is why it wasn't on the ultrasound yesterday. I am feeling better today but am very tired due to pain meds.

Hope you will be free of pain soon.

With all the high tech things we have to help find what is wrong with us you would think they would SEE something. Sorry you are suffering Marilyn. Take it easy and rest up this weekend. Keep us upated.

Oh my! You have been thru so much! I will most certainly keep you in my prayers. I pray that the pain goes away and that peace and healing will be within you.
