Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of truly awful singers last night. I hope it's a trend. It's kind of fun to watch bad singers who think they're good, but all too often it seems that the bad audtioners are being lousy on purpose, and are just out to get their two minutes on national TV.

SO true....I know a lot of people obviously enjoy it (and like you, I do too to an extent), but it's really gotten out of hand. I hope it's a trend too...I feel like some of the obviously bad ones take some poor soul's audition spot who truly has a shot!

Hollywood starts tonight. I found out that the girl I spoke of earlier, "Molly Hunt", may be on either tonight or tomorrow night. Not sure if anyone is still watching....I haven't been able to.

I'm always glad when they get to Hollywood. I'll be watching for Molly!

Wow, how about that Symone falling off the stage! It looked like she was passing out, didn't it? Randy was talking to her and her legs got all rubbery and over she went. Hope she's okay.

I don't think she was on last night....I am sure my friend would have heard about it if she was, through her sister. (LOL, I know this is confusing, but yeah, she's getting facebook updates). So maybe tonight? But yeah, she may be one of the ones whose name is not revealed. I have no idea what she looks like, just that she's cute! Um gee, that narrows it down!

Anybody still watching? The big shock last night is that Jermaine was turned over to the cops because he has four outstanding warrants. Too bad. I thought he was one of the big standouts.

Enjoyed Scotty McCreery's new song. I liked how he greeted the judges.

I thought the right one was voted off.

Very surprised to see Deandre go home. I figured the teen girl voters would carry him a lot farther.

Yeah, Colton Dixon was eliminated last night. A bit of a surprise. To be honest, Mimi, I don't have strong feelings for any of the Idols. This is probably my most "meh, whatever" season.

Wow! Well, I'm sorry to hear that. I miss the good 'ol Idol days. How has the judging been? Are they still overly lenient this season? I had heard people complain about that in the early episodes, that they weren't hard enough on the contestants who needed to hear criticism.

From what I've seen, they seem pretty lenient. You know that music producer, Jimmy Iovine, who's always mentoring the contestants? They've kind of put him into the role of Simon Cowell this season. On vote-off night, Jimmy gives a taped assessment of each kid, and he tends to be much blunter than the judges. They must've figured that the show needed a little bit of spice.

To be fair to LMFAO, they do seem to be a bit tongue-in-cheek.

Oh, I know who you're talking about, yes. I do think you have to have someone Simon Cowell-ish or this show just doesn't work. Somebody has to be the bad guy and tell it like it is.

Is it just me, or are the idol winners less 'marketed' than ever. I mean, where is "Lee"? You never hear anything by him. And I always thought Crystal would go somewhere, even though she didn't win. Other recent idol winners I can't even remember. It makes the show even less credible, if you never end up hearing any songs by them on the radio eventually? I still hear songs on occasion by David Cook though---love that.

I still am but... I'm not that excited about it. I tend to see myself fast forwarding a lot of it.

I'm watching, but I'm not enthusiastic about any of the kids. Two weeks ago I forgot to watch, and I'd never done that with Idol before.

Remember Idol winner Kris Allen? He's in the news. Some say this was a publicity stunt (he has a new album coming out), some say he was just wanting to have some fun by playing a few songs for some fans. Whatever the case, this cop is a jerk!
