Rhonda, I think we all feel like we were born in the wrong era, until we think about the heat! LOL!! In fact, I'm happy for those re-enactors that it wasn't too terribly hot yesterday or today. Tomorrow is supposed to be worse. And back in the day, those people were used to having to be overdressed in the summer....these re-enactors aren't! When we went a couple of years ago, it was in the 90's and humid. I felt so sorry for them!!

This really would be the perfect spot for the Michigan folk to gather (and whoever else can join in!). I know everyone would love it!

Gin, be sure to post that drawing when you're done with it! I saw him standing there like that and just had to get his picture!


Thanks for the compliments too, ladies I did enjoy wearing the sun hat...wasn't sure if we would need them, but the weather cleared and the sun came out. Just a beautiful day!!

Thanks Lisa! So many people forget what this day is all about....some seem to think it is for picnics, lake trips and partying....I guess that is fine since so many gave their lives for our freedom to do that.....but I thank all, past, present and future....which includes 2 of my 3 boys......
