| Like you, Dave, it will be interesting to see if there are any missing scenes from the 3 movies. I wish the Little House Years had been included in season 6. I wonder why the special wasn't included. Thank you for sharing the info, Dave. | |

Depends.....If I can get the three movies separately, I will wait..... "Albert, do you REALLY think you are old enough to know what love is?" "I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time."

I don't think the Little House Years has ever been included on any home video release. I don't know if there is any reason besides the bean counters at the companies not wanting to add an extra disc to a release for a three-hour special that was mostly flashbacks.

| So it sounds like the October 6 release is DVD only, not Blu-ray, or did I miss something? | |

There is no mention of Blu-ray in the press release, but Amazon and Best Buy have it listed for pre-order on Blu-ray. It would be pretty low of them to stop the Blu-rays after many people have ordered the first six seasons in that format. I already have all the seasons in Vudu HDX which most likely looks better than the DVDs since it is 1080p compared to 480i, so my purchases will stop if the only option for the remaining seasons is DVD.

| I found another email address for Lionsgate today I did a search for Liongate complaint DVD I think it asked what subject the reason for the complaint and how would you want it resolve. Don't know if it will be any good or not about Little House Years missing. I said Little House fans would be very happy if you realease this to complete the DvD and Blu Ray set. Like someone said maybe because it had mostly flashbacks. | |

They aren't putting season 7 on Blu-ray either, only DVD. Can somebody who has the remastered DVDs do me a favor and take a full screen screenshot and PM it to me or post it here and let me know what episode and what time during the episode it is? I doubt I would be convinced to buy the remaining seasons on DVD, but I am curious to see how the DVD quality compares to the Digital HD that I already own. The easiest way I've found to do a screenshot is to play the DVD in full screen, pause the episode where there is a good looking shot without much movement, hit the print screen key to copy the screen, and then open the paint.net program and hit Ctrl-V to paste it in, select the expand canvas option, then click file, then save as, then name it and change the type to JPEG, click save, then slide the quality button up to 100 and click OK. I usually then use Photo Gallery to crop out the black around the picture, but I can do that part if you send me the saved file.

| Thank you Matthew. Here are the comparisons for four of the screenshots. To my eye the Digital HD images are superior. If you enlarge the images the differences are more noticeable. Keep in mind that the Blu-rays keep more of the original film grain intact and show even more detail than the Digital HD versions. I will stick my Digital HD Vudu copies for now until Lionsgate decides to complete the Blu-ray releases. Remastered DVD Digital HD

| I will have to say the Digital HD ones seem a little brighter colour, I also noticed the price in the new DVDS are priced lower then what i paid for in the normal DVDS “Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it... Yet.” ― L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables | |

- Same thing here, Krissy. The Digital HD mostly just look lighter to me. The remastered DVDs are plenty good quality for me. Far better than the older non-remastered DVDs that I first had. On a side note, I just sold my complete non-remastered set on ebay and got back what I paid for it. So now I only have the remastered versions.
Oh wow that is cool!! I still own the old set. I think if i was to re-buy the Set i would go with the HD ones. “Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it... Yet.” ― L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
