I LOVE May It Be!!
These are my favorite songs, although I have about ten thousand. Let me just try to narrow it down.
Send Me On My Way by Rusted Root (this has to be the happiest song in the world) Wake Up by Arcade Fire Memory from the musical Cats It Ends Tonight by All American Rejects
..and loads others.
First time, I heard May it be. When, Lord of the Rings end credits were rolling.

This is Bill's and my song. "Follow You, Follow Me", by Genesis. Gives me goosebumps, hearing these words.
Yes, yes, yes!!!! Genesis!! Phil Collins!!! Love him! Love them! Love this song! But when it comes to them, nothing is greater than this right here:
I can listen to this song repeatedly. I will just play it over and over again and NEVER get tired of it. And this part: You know I love you but I just can't take this You know I love you but I'm playing for keeps Although I need you I'm not gonna make this You know I want to but I'm in too deep I love it SO much!
But I am currently going through a heavy George Michael phase (I go through phases where I will listen to something specific - almost obsessively - for awhile ). So my George Michael phase does include Wham!. I defy anyone to tell me that this song doesn't perk up their day just a little bit:
You make the sun shine brighter than Doris Day How can you not do anything but smile at those lyrics?
Ah, the 80's. How I wish I were a kid again!

Let's ignore the Torvill and Dean video here (unless you want to watch it, of course ) and just enjoy the BRILLIANT Michael Ball singing his incredible version of "My Heart Will Go On".
1:00-1:40 is just perfection. I love him from 3:24 until the end but he disappoints me a little because he DOES belt out and, yet, it isn't as loud and as powerful as he normally is. And for anyone who doesn't know him, this song kind of cheats them out of the greatness of the power of his voice. Still, the man does hold that last note for approximately 20 seconds. And that is quite impressive! I just love this man!

Here's another classic by The Bangles. They were here in concert tonight (or should I say last night) but I didn't get to go. Anyway, I've had this song in my head for hours. Probably my favorite Bangles song (and no, we're not going to walk like Egyptians now). Hope you enjoy this blast from the past!
