I know Christina's mom is in for another MRI today, so if we could all be praying for her....

Thank you, Amy. I appreciate the prayers very much! My mom's MRI went smoothly this time - she was able to get through it without any problems. She took a nerve pill her doctor prescribed beforehand, but said it didn't make her feel any different...but at any rate, she was able to close her eyes and get through the test.

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with this thread! Thank you for the info on MRIs, Savannah. I didn't realize they could do them in an upright position now - that sounds like it would be a lot less frightening to go through. There is a hospital around here that has the Open MRI, but my mother's doctor wanted her to go to the hospital he was connected to. I'm just glad it's over for her. Now we just have to wait for the results. She has an appointment with the doctor next Thursday, so I'm hoping if she doesn't hear from them before then, "no news is good news". Thank you all so much for the prayers!

You're welcome Christina---prayers are with you and your mom. I'm sure you'll keep us posted. I didn't know about the 'upright MRI" either---that's great! But at least the nerve pill did the trick for you mom.

I'm glad that she went through her MRI well. That can be such a traumatizing experience for people! I'll be praying about the results of it, and for peace during the wait. Smiley Hug

Good news - my mother's test results came back with good results. It turns out there is a cyst on one of her kidneys, but the doctor said it isn't a cause for concern. I guess he also said he thought it may have been just that all along, but wants her to get a check-up again in six months, just to make sure everything is still okay. We're so glad this is overwith and that she's okay - it's been a very stressful few months! Thank you all so much for your prayers - they are really appreciated and have made all the difference! {{hugs}}

Oh, that's such wonderful news, Christina!! I am so happy that your mom is going to be okay, and that there is no cause for concern. That's good that the doctor wants to keep an eye on the cyst, and see her again in 6 months.
