I'm finally feeling better, thank you! It took me what felt like ages to start gaining my strength back....But a friend of mine told me that her family had H1N1, and it took them over a month to fully recover....So I guess I shouldn't complain.

So....Monday morning, since I was feeling better, I nervously sent the portrait out to Diann for final approval. (And challenged Rob's patience, poor man. He's forced to preview the portraits before I send them out, and ends up hearing my nerves spill over at the same time.) Diann emailed back, and said that when she looks at the portrait, it's just like looking into her granddaughters' eyes. I was very relieved to hear that she liked it, and couldn't have been more thrilled with her response!

Thanks again to all of you for your encouragement. You're just wonderful!

Great job! I know what you mean about glasses and teeth. With me doing it in color you have to get the gums just the right shade of pink. And glasses, well---its tough. I usually start with the eyes pretty quick. I know if they look right then the rest will come together.

Another fine job.

I've been wanting to try a full-color portrait for a while now, and finally decided to stop being a chicken and TRY. This is a little fella nicknamed Puddin'. When I saw the photo, I wanted to scoop him up and give him a kiss! He's such a cutie-pie! Anyway....here's my first attempt at a color portrait:
