WHO is Keith Richards?

Or is he 107 this year? This is going to be mean, but I've always had a hard time deciding who is the homlier of the two, Keith or Mic? Hmm, it's a toss-up. (and Gin, if you say you don't know Mic Jagger, I'm not sure we can be friends. ----come on, you gotta love the Stones girlfriend!! )

Rob, I may be have a speller handicap, but YES I know who the Rolling Stones are. At the time I met my husband I did not. BUT, he didn't know who some people were that I listened to either. I'll have you know I have been to a 38 special, Van Halen, and Aerosmith concert in the past few years. Its NOT my first pick in music, but I do have all of their music on the ipod......
Fife only wishes he could be THAT cool. Although the lips might make them distant cousins.

I questioned if you knew who Mick Jagger was. (I was only teasing you though---I KNOW you know that! ). Rob and I had every confidence you knew who the Stones were.

I know who John Dettrich is. He wrote the history of Bradford County PA. Have good reason to know that, as you know.

I'm thinking you meant John DIETRICH. I dunno what he does, but I've heard the name. Something about art or pictures or something.

I was wrong Gin. Yes, I looked it up, lol. He didn't write it, he transcribed it from 19th century language to 20th century language I guess. My bad, I apologize. Actually, I'm glad you brought up the name. Changed a belief I'd held for some time.

OKAY.....John Dettich was the drum/vocal for the group Restless Heart in the 80's.
Don't know anything about the artist....

Thanks, Amy! And it really does! It's an interesting process for drawing on there, too. You can't erase at all, because it will damage the suede. So you have to do the basic outline for whatever you're going to draw, and use transfer paper to put your finished sketch onto the suede. Then you can do the colored pencil work. It takes a little longer, but it's a lot of fun!

Well, thanks to some helpful people here on the board, I was able to find a good enough shot of killer whale to draw for my young friend, Christina, for her graduation present. She's hoping to work with whales some day. So, anyway, here's Christina's killer whale - and thanks again for helping find a good photo to work from, since killer whales are kind of hard to spot here in Michigan.

I love it! When you first sent me this, I thought I was looking at the photo you were working from... then I realized it was your drawing. Amazing job!!

It looks great Savannah!! I'm sure your friend will love it!

I just love those drawings...I hate to say it, but I have tw lef hands. I can't draw! So, I can't help t say that I ADMIRE the people who can make all these little jewels all by themselves... . Congrats!!!
