So what is everyone doing for Thanksgiving this year? Going out of town? Staying home? Just curious...

My son is coming home from college by train tonight. I can't believe he'll be here for a solid five days! Very excited about that. I'm going to start an annual tradition of having a nice breakfast Thanksgiving morning and having my parents over. We'll be going to their house for dinner, and then probably to my hubby's sister's over the weekend. We are learning to 'spread out' holiday weekends and enjoy them more, rather than cramming them all into one day.

I loveThanksgiving!!

I'm so happy to hear that you will all be together for a long holiday weekend!! That's wonderful!

I am going to cook dinner at my parents house this year. It'll just be the four of us, my parents, and my brother. I love Thanksgiving as well and I'm going to try to be good and not eat too much. (Like that's going to happen! :haha: )

We'll be traveling 2 miles away to my husband's parents' house. His sister, brother-in-law and niece will be there as well. They live in St. Paul, MN, so not too far for them to travel either. I'll be hosting Christmas at our house for my side of the family next month. Amy and Pam, it sounds like you both will be having a very nice Thanksgiving!!

Thanks Pam---sounds like you're in for a nice one too! Oh, and my mom has a newly remodeled kitchen so it will be a joy to cook over there this year! I'm going to try to be good too... but it' sooooooooo hard! grinsmiley

Your Thanksgiving sounds nice too Teresa...kinda nice none of us have to travel far. Well, my hubby's family lives about 40 minutes away, so that's not too bad, if the roads are decent anyway. I'm glad I'm not 'hosting' the holiday (at least not this one, maybe Christmas though)...it is SO much work!!! But nice too. Wink

Great news about seeing the young'un. I'm sure that will make it a happy time. I won't see my big guy this year. He's going to the girlfriend's parents' house because her mom whines about having to share them. We extended an invitation for them to join us here and they didn't want that either. It worked out well because we're going to the hubby's cousins' house instead.

I'll have Christmas here again and probably New Year's.
