| Right now, all three of my brothers are unemployed. Two of them are headed this morning to a company nearby that is hiring. It's an excellent company to work for, and both of my brothers have skills and training that could be put to use there. I'd really appreciate prayers for them concerning this. Also, today there's a court case involving three precious little children. The judge will decide today where these three little ones will live. He has the option of placing them with a wonderful, loving couple who desperately want the children - or he can give them back to the "Mother", who has abused, neglected and harmed the little ones over and over....and who cares more about her drugs than she does those children. Seems like a "no-brainer" doesn't it? But the judge has been sympathetic to the "Mother" because "She did give birth to them". I'm not going to even *start* with how angry that phrase makes me. I'm sure that most of you know where I'm coming from with that. . . .But, please pray for these precious little children. The little girl just turned three, and her brothers (twins) turn four in a couple of weeks. They've been living with a family in my church for a year now, and I don't even want to *think* about them being given to a woman who is so abusive. I'll let you all know as soon as I know anything. THANK YOU to any of you who offer a prayer in behalf of these babies! | |

| Savannah, Your brothers will be in my prayers. I pray that they are able to find jobs soon. And those 3 precious children will certainly be in my prayers. I also despise the phrase, "..........but she DID give birth to them........" Most women can give birth to a child...............but not every woman is able to truly be a mother. I pray that this family is able to keep the children with them. Let us know as soon as you can when you hear something. I know that this really hits home with you, Savannah. {{{HUGS}}} | |

| *sigh* It's kind of . . . . odd news. It isn't completely bad, but it isn't completely good. The judge, instead of making a final decision, has dragged it out for another 8 months. BUT, he won't allow the little ones to stay where they are, because their birth Mother is moving to Tennessee. So, he's placing the little ones down in Tennessee with people they've never even met. (The third set of strangers these precious ones have had to move in with.) But....there is still the possibility for Dominic, Keith and Maliah to be eventually placed with (and adopted by) the couple who wants them so badly. I just wish that the judge had taken the children's best interest seriously. Dragging things out like this just makes their lives so unstable. Poor babies. But, at least he didn't outright give custody to the birth Mother. Thank you so much for praying! I'll update you as I hear more.

| What beautiful children, Savannah!! They will continue to be in my prayers. I have a question...........if the children won't be living with their mother, then why do they have to move to Tennessee? Do they want them to still be in the same state with her, no matter where it is? What if she decides to move again.....to another state? | |

| Thank you, Cheryl and Teresa! Teresa, that's *exactly* what the judge's mindset appears to be! No matter where she moves, he seems determined to bounce the children along behind, even though it means uprooting them and turning their lives upside down time after time. It infuriates me. Children aren't given any real consideration when it comes to the legal system. | |

| I'm so sorry I haven't seen this until now, Savannah. I will be praying for them now, and for your brothers...It sure is rough here right now. I'm glad these darling children at least won't go back with the abusive mother, but like you, I'm infuriated that they have to be shipped off to yet another new family, another new environment. It's just SO wrong. You are right---the legal system does not treat children with consideration. These are human beings with rights, and they should be treated with as much respect from the legal system as an adult has. Even more, come to think of it. What possible good could come from an 8 month waiting period at this point?! “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

| Thank you again for your prayers, everyone! I have an update on the three children. (I spelled the little girl's name wrong earlier. :shy:) Maleah (rhymes with Maria) Keith and Dominic will be temporarily placed in the guardianship of their Grandmother in Tennessee, rather than being placed with strangers. So, while it's still an uprooting, and a major change, this is someone who they know and love - and someone who loves them, too. It's a relief to my mind to know that they're at least being given that right now. Thanks again for your prayers!! | |
