Ange, we thought the world of Larry. It seemed like the Prairie was his home on the internet, and we'd love it if you made it yours, too.
You'll be in our thoughts and prayers.

I couldn't have said it any better myself, Rob. Thank you for coming here and saying what you did, Ange. Our hearts go out to you at this very difficult time. I am so glad you have Larry's living legacies right there with you to gaze upon day in and day out. They will be a huge comfort to you, I am sure. Take care.

Thank you for coming, Ange. Larry was such a part of our prairie, and will always be in our hearts. It still feels like he should be coming in and teasing us. You've been in our prayers, and will continue to be. I'm so glad that Larry got to have the joy of a grandbaby! I can imagine how much he loved having his little grandson so close by! And I'm glad that you have Larry's daughters (and "Alfred" ) with you!

I'm glad you made it over here, Ange, and were able to see how much he was thought of on this board. Even though this is "just the 'net" I don't think that matters; what matters is we all went from just posters on the board to becoming an online family; caring about one another. There was plenty of times I'd feel down & such & come in here & get a kick out of something Larry said or he'd post just the perfect song to lift spirits. He was such a good friend to me, and you ended up becoming a good friend to me, too. There are just some days I really expect him to show up and throw in his two cents. That would be Larry. Anyway, I glad there is this memorial to him here, since he was such an important part of this board. He did always say that no matter where he went on the 'net, this forum was his sanctuary.

Ange, I'm so glad you made it here to read through the memorial thread for Larry. Although my biggest regret is that I never had a chance to meet him in person, I am comforted by the fact that I had the opportunity to get to know him and call him a friend. Even though I only knew him online, I felt I got to know him just as well as if we had met in person. You really confirmed that by what you said. I was proud to call him my friend, and so lucky, and just as lucky to have you as a friend as well.

What a shock and sadness. I had no idea he had such health problems.
RIP Larry.
Praying for your family.

Does anyone know where to locate that very first picture Larry posted of himself? It was one from years ago.

The first picture was from the other LH forum we had before moving over here...so not sure what year.....2005 or 2006......the second one was posted in May 2007 shortly after I brought the first picture over from the other forum...he had lost a lot of weight and was so proud of his new look.
