| Those are nice images. I would love to see the deleted scenes if you post images of those. | |

I'm not a huge expert on the first two episodes. I believe Toby is working on identifying the deleted scenes. If I catch some I'll post them for you. Once we get into season 5 and beyond, I'll be able to spot them in a hurry. I'm sure I'll notice some today because I'm going to watch another three episodes. "Albert, do you REALLY think you are old enough to know what love is?" "I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time."

That's why I'm gonna leave this deleted scene thing to someone else in these first few seasons.......hard for me to identify.......... "Albert, do you REALLY think you are old enough to know what love is?" "I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time."

| I' know the delated scenes from the first few seasons. I know someone posted about Laura taking a bath in Town Party but I saw that years ago on TBS. But I know it was not on the DVDs that were release 10 years but were in the UK. I'm waiting for the later seasons those are not the ones I don't think I have seen. | |

I'm like you Carol....I think I saw a few too......but it was just like watching it for the first time......Sandy and I shed a few tears last night.......it was a wondrous thing to watch! After I finished watching it I thought about how people must have felt when they saw it on TV for the very first time. The Pilot is WONDERFUL and of course it leaves you wanting for more! No wonder this show was HUGE! It is such a classic masterpiece, they cannot touch it. I think it was Disney who tried redoing it 2005 but it was just NOT working for me... lol

| I skipped through all the episodes and wrote down the run times. Most of the Blu-ray episodes are at least three minutes longer than the Imavision DVDs and some are nearly five minutes longer. I will post the run times by episode as soon as I get more time. I don't know if I'll have the time anytime soon to go through and find all the missing scenes. I would have to play the Blu-rays on the TV and put the DVDs in the laptop to look for differences and I think I would rather enjoy the episodes first before attempting that. If I do that eventually, the bookmarking feature on the Blu-rays will come in handy.
Someone on the Blu-ray.com forum commented that The Lord is My Shepherd scene may not have been on the original NBC broadcast and that some deleted scenes may have slipped through to the syndication sets due to bad editing. I tend to think that Lionsgate included everything that was in the film that they used for the Blu-rays, and overall the Blu-ray episodes have much more than they are missing.

| I guess you are probably right Toby. I just can't wait to see the later seasons release. I think the regular DVDs will still have everything in it like the Blu Ray movies. I'm sure it will look better then the other DVDs that came out over the last 10 years. | |

| Here are the run times. The opening on the old Imavision DVDs is a separate 53 second file on each disc, so I had to add 53 seconds to each of the DVD run times to make the comparisons more accurate. I don't have the pilot on DVD, so I got the run time off of Amazon. If someone who owns the DVD can double check the run time for me, I would appreciate it. The Lord is My Shepherd is two parts on the old DVD and one whole episode on the Blu-ray, so I combined the run time of the two parts on the DVD and subtracted the 34 seconds from part 1 that contained the preview of the second part and the closing credits. Episode Name | Imavision DVD | | Blu-ray | Pilot Movie | 1:35:00 | 1:37:03 | A Harvest of Friends | 46:48 | 49:09 | Country Girls | 46:54 | 48:38 | The 100 Mile Walk | 46:54 | 49:04 | Mr. Edwards' Homecoming | 46:56 | 49:05 | The Love of Johnny Johnson | 46:52 | 49:00 | If I Should Wake Before I Die | 45:16 | 49:07 | Town Party, Country Party | 45:17 | 49:02 | Ma's Holiday | 46:49 | 49:07 | School Mom | 46:38 | 49:03 | The Raccoon | 45:24 | 48:46 | The Voice of Tinker Jones | 46:47 | 49:04 | The Award | 46:49 | 49:04 | The Lord Is My Shepherd | 1:32:18 | 1:36:40 | Christmas at Plum Creek | 46:47 | 48:58 | Family Quarrel | 46:52 | 49:06 | Doctor's Lady | 46:50 | 49:06 | Plague | 46:52 | 49:03 | The Circus Man | 48:52 | 49:06 | Child of Pain | 48:54 | 48:04 | Money Crop | 48:54 | 49:06 | Survival | 46:46 | 49:00 | To See the World | 45:29 | 47:56 | Founders' Day | 46:45 | 48:25 |
