Rhonda, do you mean "channel" singular? Because Idol and DWTS aren't on the same network. Idol's on Fox and DWTS is on ABC. Is it possible you still get one of them?

No, I mean channels as in they redid the whole system at the end of the year and when it happened, both of these shows disappeared......I have looked for them and they are no longer there......the local channels are different here for some reason.....Last year, I was able to watch both DWTS and American Idol, this year/season, I can't watch either of them......

I just watched the show online. WOW. That is definitely the best premiere ever and I am so IN! Even if Melissa was not in it I'd be watching. Love Jaleel and the football player (can't remember his name), and William, is it? The Cuban? Am I the only one who sees a very buff Harry Connick Jr. when I look at that guy??? What a combo.
I thought Melissa did well enough for the first week....some of these people are just really off the charts considering this is the first week! Unreal! Oh my gosh, Gladys Knight, are you kidding me???? AmAzing!! And seriously, Shari had me rolling on the floor laughing at everything---her comments, her facial expressions. That girl really is just FUN! Looking forward to this season and honestly not looking forward to sending ANYone home! I was even happy for Martina and wouldn't want to see her go! Everyone is very likeable, I think. Melissa was decent, but is SO going to have to step it up in order to advance. Come one Melissa, you can do it!!!!!
(P.S. I got a good look at her boys in the audience....couldn't believe how those two older ones look JUST like Bruce!).
One more thing...I think Maria and Derrick had great chemistry, maybe the best of anyone. Did anyone else feel that? It's too bad their scores weren't higher---I think she was better than that.

It was amazing ! I can't wait til Monday night again. So far I thought Gladys surprised me the most. She was awesome. Shari can move too! She killed me with her comments! I do hope Martina stays a few weeks. Everyone needs a chance. It just didn't seem like a first week at all...they will have to keep it up tho. That makes it tough.

Yes, about Martina...I guess that's what I'm thinking about the elimination---NO ONE really STINKS! I hate to see anyone go at this point! Gavin needs help, but he's a cutie and there is definite potential.

Thanks Rob! Has there been anyone older than that? Can't remember how old Florence is. But I'm just amazed at the older people who are willing to try this and actually perform THAT well....seriously gutsy, and truly inspiring.
Oh, and a side-note: does anyone else feel sorry for the contestants that after they've finished dancing their butts off, they then have to climb a tall, steep flight of stairs?! And then they have to TALK!

I actually got to see DWTS this past Saturday with an encore presentation....the guide didn't have it listed as coming on, I was just flipping through channels and there it was.....weird...I wonder if it will be on tonight or another encore this coming Saturday.....
