Who do you think is gonna go home and who is gonna be in the bottom three? I think in the bottom three will be.
Ramiele Malubay
Chikezie
Carly Smithson

And Chikezie will go home Wave
I had just started to like him but he just did't do well this Week

WOW, Jacob!! You just read my mind. LOL!! I was just thinking the exact same thing. Chikezie, Ramiele, and Carly in the bottom 3, with Chikezie leaving.

Carol, I'm sorry you missed out on your chance to meet Randy and Paula!! THat was super close!! Bummer!

Wow...so you guys really think Carly will be in the bottom 3 again? I was really shocked last week that she was there...her vocals far outshine Ramiele's or Syesha's, IMO. I really think Ramiele and Syesha are pretty 'average'...I just don't see anything 'special' about either one of them. Neither one have great range, and you just need to be unique...although Carly was stiff last night and seemed to be 'thinking' too much, she has a nice quality to her voice. That is, when she doesn't get 'screechy' (LOL, another Simon term, Teresa! grinsmiley)...but yeah, sometimes she can turn me off with that.

I think it will be Chikezie, Ramiele and Syesha in the bottom, with Ramiele going home. I thought her performance was pretty bad last night...Randy was right---she was pitchy and actually flat a lot, and she was definitely shouting her high notes. Not impressed with her at all anymore and I'm ready to say bye-bye. (but, so much depends on personality and if the public just doesn't like Carly, then she may not go much farther. Actually, I must say, there's really no one competing who I don't 'like', personality-wise...David C. is growing on me too and for awhile I was a little bugged by him. I don't think Ramiele can really connect with the audience, and I never feel like she's really feeling the music either, so I guess that's why I think Chikezie may stay over her.

You guys are all so right about David A.!! Sure, he sang it ok, but what the heck was up with that song?! NO ONE has ever heard it before, and as you said Teresa, 1990 was a great year for music! I mean, come on...WHO picked that??? Simon's right---NOT David, that's for sure.

David C. was truly awesome, and he so reminds me of Blake Lewis's creativity. Only David is even better. Wink He totally deserved that praise. Michael did a great job last night, his voice was well-suited to that song, but I'm with you Teresa...I don't think it was that great. I like him though. David C. has excellent control too...do you guys notice that? I mean, I really like Michael and I really LOVE David A., but sometimes both of them sing flat...they don't always find that high note when they go to sing it. David C. hits his every single time, I tell ya. Not only that, but he sings well in his lower range...I notice especially with David A. that he sings SOOOOOO quiet in his low range. He's got some things he needs to work on, but I still love him! I have to wonder if Gin is right, and it's not quite his time yet.

I really love Brooke...I still say though that she and Jason are both kind in the same boat...they both can only sing a certain kind of way, a certain kind of style. I'm cool with that, if the quality of the voice is awesome (which they both are), but the general voting public likes to see all kinds of things. Oh, and I agree Teresa, Brooke's hair looked great straight! She looks cute with it curly too, but I think I like it best straight.

Ok, I think I'm all talked out! grinsmiley

Or maybe not.... Wink....ONE more thing! I really liked the theme last night!!!! I wish a lot of these singers had chosen better music ( ), but I loved the background stories and the kid pictures! Too cute!! Thumbsup (LOL, I must say it kinda made me feel a little old though! help )

....OK, just ONE more thing and then I'm shutting up! :shh3: LOL! I spoke of Kristy in my earlier post, that I really liked her last night. But what I really noticed more than anything, is that for the first time I felt like she was actually feeling that music. There was an energy with her last night, that I have never seen, and I think it was that that truly helped her to sing better! So she just needs to keep picking these songs that suit her better, keep up the energy, and she actually may go far! (In comparison to Kellie Pickler, who sang last week I think, Kristy is SO much better!!!!...I'd forgotten just how 'nasally' Kelli was!)

I was a little surprised Jason was in the bottom 3, I thought Ramiele was going to be there.
I hope Jason realizes that he needs to do something different... or else it might be the end for him soon.

I knew Chekizie would be going home tonight. Hey, at least they are all going to be on the tour and that will help everyone out some.

I really liked Kimberly Lock's performance... wow, that girl can sing! Thumbsup

Oh Jacob, shame on me!!! I forgot you were such a Kellie Pickler fan! Bad Amy, bad Amy!! Frying pan (that's to me, dont you feel better now? Wink Wink ). LOLOL! Nope, I don't like country, BUT, I will say I do like some country. I just don't like the 'twangy' country...but I actually own Shania Twain, Martina McBride and Tim McGraw. Aren't you proud of me? batEyes

This is going to sound weird, but I was almost happy to see "my Jason" in the bottom 3 last night! OhMy Maybe that will light a fire under his butt to do sth different! LOL! It's not that his song was even bad...it wasn't...it's just kind of this 'same old same old' and he really needs to do sth upbeat and fun. That song really didn't showcase the unique-ness (is that a word?) of his voice either...

I was actually sad seeing Chikezie go! He's a sweet guy, and he looked so sad I just wanted to give him a big ol hug! I seriously think Ramiele should have gone first though...Chikezie has tons more personality...he just didn't showcase that the other night. Proves you have to 'bring it' every time!!"American Idol" - Season 7 - Page 14 Accord07

LOL Jacob...I'm sorry to say I cannot tell a lie---that is exactly the kind of country I don't like! grinsmiley Oddly enough though, I actually like Dolly Parton! I don't know why...I really can't explain it but I do like her voice and I love her songs. Did you hear that she's going to be the mentor next week? They didn't say exactly what the theme is, but I think it's pretty safe to say it's country! Wink Which means my guess is that Kristy will have a good chance of staying in another week!

Ok, so what do I like, you ask? batEyes Well, I'm all over that Josh Groban thread, lol, but I'm mostly a classic rock/ retro girl. Like Kansas, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benetar, Styx, Fleetwood Mac. I'm also a big Bon Jovi fan and lol, Prince! grinsmiley So yes, I have varied interests, that's for sure! (BTW, my favorite Tim McGraw song is Live Like You were Dying, and I also love "My Hometown".

Ok...American Idol! Wink Oh, Jacob...you and my mom should talk! She hates Jason's dredlocks too! ROTFL She's in Florida right now and we talk AI every week, and she says the same thing every week...when is he going to get rid of those ugly things?!?! LOL! I know, I hated them at first, but now I kind of think they're a cool trademark! And no...I missed all those people in the audience! I'm really not observant enough! Whistle

Well, that's not altogether true...I like Michael Johns and David Archuletta! batEyes Um, other than that, you're probably right. grinsmiley

I really hope it's country week and not just 'Dolly songs' week...I think some people would really feel restricted if they could only sing her songs. I'm going to hope she's just the mentor!

And man, I'm really not observant if I didn't see the people you mentioned and they were sitting right behind the judges!! "American Idol" - Season 7 - Page 14 338

Thanks for the reminder! I can't wait! Even though I'm not country, I still enjoy the show, no matter what the theme. I DO have my concerns for Jason though...country is so obviously not his thing! I hope he found something that suits him! And LOL, I feel better knowing the judges liked him in your dream, Jacob; maybe it was a premonition! grinsmiley OMG, wouldn't you freak out if he actually sang that song?! (Oh, and Jacob...I DO like Mary Chapin Carpenter!! See, we DO have some things in common! ☮ LOL! I love "Grow Old Along with Me"."American Idol" - Season 7 - Page 14 Accord07

Ha! Two friends of mine from Australia were just talking about this. They e-mailed complaining about "David's song". I *think* this must be the one they were talking about. Was the song "You're the Voice"? Apparently, it's a HUGE standard in Australia, and it's supposed to be more of a ballad. They were horrified by David's rendition. LOL! Oh.......and by his pronunciation of the man who had originally sung it. He apparently pronounced it "FarnHAM" because that's how it's spelled. But it's pronounced "Farnum". And, it's been the talk of their Australian towns all week. :Hahaha:
