WINTER BLONDE
As a trucker stops for a red light, a blonde catches up. She jumps out of her car, runs up to his truck, and knocks on the door.
The trucker lowers the window, and she says "Hi, my name is Heather and you are losing some of your load."
The trucker ignores her and proceeds down the street.
When the truck stops for another red light, the girl catches up again. She jumps out of her car, runs up and knocks on the door.
Again, the trucker lowers the window. As if they've never spoken, the blonde says brightly, "Hi my name is Heather, and you are losing some of your load!"
Shaking his head, the trucker ignores her again and continues down the street.
At the third red light, the same thing happens again.
All out of breath, the blonde gets out of her car, runs up, knocks on the truck door. The trucker rolls down the window. Again she says "Hi, my name is Heather, and you are losing some of your load!"
When the light turns green the trucker revs up and races to the next light.
When he stops this time, he hurriedly gets out of the tr uck, and runs back to the blonde.
He knocks on her window, and after she lowers it, he says...
"Hi, my name is Mark, it's winter in Pennsylvaniaand I'm driving the SALT TRUCK!"

LOL Rhonda!! :Hahaha: Well, in OUR case around here, it's a 'gravel mixture' truck. Apparently we're too cheap for salt these days.
Savannah, you're up to 20 inches of snow?!?! We haven't gotten any more, at least none to speak of. I am worried about Christmas---we're going to visit family in Kalamazoo that day, and on the 27th Brendan has to be back to Western Michigan to fly out to the Texas Bowl with the band. We HAVE to get him there or else...we have NO choice!
Yesterday's weather was the WORST Michigan weather we've had in quite some time. I'm not surprised they closed church over on your end Savannah! We were out and about all day wrapping up Christmas shopping and we couldn't have picked a worse day to do it. Those winds were absolutely crazy! And the windchill was 20 below!! YIKES!

Well, now we're up to 22". We're in a valley, and I think that seems to make us get more snow. It's as if the wind blows it off the hills and down into the valley here. LOL! It's okay. I like it. We have one more snowstorm due on Tuesday night. And they're saying now that we could see another 10-12".

Ha! I liked Gilmore Girls. Savannah, the show was set in Stars Hollow, Connecticut... the Mayberry of the 21st century.

The funny thing is that it was probably like 85 degrees when they filmed that scene (Set was in Burbank, Calif.) But I must say... the Warner Brothers Lot did a great job in setting up "winter" in 'Stars Hallow' because it sure looks cold! lol

I'd think you would love the show Savannah Lorelei always talked about loving snow... she was always talking about being able to smell the first snow and she would open her window and look up at the sky and wait for the first snowfall... Here is a video of Lorelei and snow

We don't have any snow left, just dwindled snowbanks where the snow plows cleaned the road. We have had rain for the last 24 hrs or so. Today we had a wind storm and the power is out for many in Toronto. I live about an hour north and we are all ok up here but there are trees blown down and building that were under construction that need a little extra construction now.

Wow, Marilyn, glad you're ok over there! We have had severe wind too, in fact my son had to fly to Texas today to march in his band for a bowl game. There were flights delayed all around, but not his! I was pretty worried, but he got there safe and sound, thank the Lord.
Our snow is almost competely gone from the rain, and it is so UGLY around here!

The wind was awful here, too. It woke me up early this morning, and I sat there praying that the power would stay on! I could hear trees cracking and branches snapping - and it absolutely howled! It finally let up a little around 8:00 this morning, but the wind was still very strong all day long.
Depending on whose yard you're looking at, there's anywhere from 2-8" of snow on the ground. It rained hard all Saturday, and melted a lot of it. We need fresh snow, though, because it's pretty dirty looking now. So, obviously, we need clean snow to come along.
The river is 8 feet above flood stage. We had to close one of our roads down because there was 3 feet of standing water on the road! WOW!

Our snow is all gone!! :woohooo:
We had the strong winds here too. My parents lost power because of it, but thankfully, my dad has a generator, so they are okay. Luckily, it hasn't been too cold as well, so that helps.

Gee Pam, can we assume you're excited about this? Well, I have to admit, I DO like driving on the clear roads again. But, like Savannah said, it just looks so DIRTY out there! Yuck! :sad5:

Ah, yes, you've assumed correctly. I absolutely deplore snow and would be very happy if we didn't get any. I just hate it all, the cold, the shoveling, driving in it.....I need to move some place tropical I guess!

It was beautiful here during the day yesterday, sunny, warm, no snow. Then in the evening the winds came again and the cold came back. I could live with sun and 60's in the winter.
