Funny about the "up north" stuff. Here, we tend to think of everything south of us as "downstate." One guy refers to every town south of Clare as "by Detroit."

We've got about 8 inches so far and it's still snowing. The ice storm is supposed to move in sometime tomorrow morning. We're going to have a White Christmas too.

Canada will have a white Christmas from coast to coast this year for the first time in almost 4 decades. Usually parts of B.C. miss out on the wonderful stuff but this year they have some too.

It Snowed all Day today it stop now but there is Blizzard Warning and it is -32 C :emot36:

You know what I always think is funny...I go 'up north', and all the shops have t-shirts and sweatshirts that say "up north". Um, Rob, I don't think when you come downstate that you find clothing that says, "downstate", do you?!?! LOL---I just think it's kind of odd...I guess I'd rather have a t-shirt that says Traverse City, or Petoskey, or Glen Arbor, or whatever, you know? :think:

Well, we're getting quite a storm again. Right this minute, it has died down a little. But church was cancelled - and that's only the second time in nearly eleven years that we've done that. We have church services almost no matter what. But the snow is blowing so badly that you can't see anything, and even the plows have been called off the roads for now. They're saying that it's supposed to get worse tonight....I guess we'll see. If you think of it, I'd appreciate a prayer or two that our electricity stays on. The wind is howling terribly, and our lights have gone off twice already. Thankfully, it was only for a moment. I went out to shovel a little bit, to try and keep ahead of the snow . . . .and oh my WORD was it cold! The windchill brings it down to twenty below zero. So, I didn't spend too much time out there shovelling! :Hahaha:

I don't mind too much. I mostly just shovel the back deck, and some paths for Casey, and some places for the birds and squirrels to eat.

The driveway is another story. I think I sprained my wrist... writing checks to the guy with the plow on his truck who keeps me cleared out.

I'm not sure Jacob. I went to church this morning and then came home and haven't been out again since. It didn't seem too cold this morning. I'll listen for a forecast tomorrow and let you know.
We are expecting another storm on Tuesday.

Well, we've got about 16 inches of snow here, but it's supposed to warm up starting tomorrow (into the low 40's) and we're expected to get rain on Wednesday. Winter in New England is very strange.

I'll try never complain about getting less than 5 inches of snow ever again.
