But if I want to experience the snow winter wonderland, I can just stay a couple of days at Idyllwild lol
Here is another video of a family giddy and excited to spend the day up there lol

As for you, Pam.....Maybe we could mail you to visit Carol for the duration of the winter.
Okay!!
I do have to confess, although there isn't much I like about winter, I do rather enjoy your enthusiasm for it. Reading about your excitement over snow always makes me smile. If I could just figure out a way to box mine up and send it to you, we'd both be so happy!
I feel the same way Pam. And honestly, I really wouldn't mind snow at all if I didn't have to drive in it. The best of both worlds for me is snow on the grass, but clear roads.

We have at least 6 inches here now. I don't like getting this much snow all at once. A couple at a time is fine. It's the really HEAVY snow, too. Good for snowmen, bad for shoveling.
I missed this news somehow Teresa! Wow. Do you still have that much?

Yay for you Rob! Now just keep it up there, will ya?! We were supposed to get some last night, but I don't know that it ever happened. If it did, it didn't stick.

I like it when it's cold because you can always heat yourself up, but when It's hot you can't always cool yourself down!

Our snow is still here, but some of it has melted. The temps are in the 20's now, rather than the upper 30's and low 40's. Not much melting going on now. I think that more snow is on the way within the next day or 2. Unfortunately, the arctic air is going to stick around.

Come on up and visit me. Well, you might want to wait til the snow gets here, none here yet. But it's cooler than the 70's. You are welcome anytime, my friend.

YES!!!! I have said that for years when I get a confused reaction to my basic statement of "I really hate hot weather".
We are supposedly getting some snow on Wednesday night. It better be night! I have some things that I want to do that morning. I want my car to not have to go through that just yet. Yes, I am trying to avoid taking it out into the snow! Anyway, I don't know what to believe, though. One channel says that we will get a lot of snow (and on Thursday, too). Then there is one that says just Wednesday with sun and wind on Thursday. And then I see another one say that it will be snow and rain. And another one says the chance of precipitation will only be 30%. So I am actually hoping for that because I haven't gotten any salt yet. Also, I really don't want to be outside shoveling on Thanksgiving. I had to do that on Christmas morning a few years ago (if I didn't, I was going to be frozen in).

Well... I have not encountered this problem... lol If I have the AC on or if I get some sort of air from a fan or from trees, stay in the shade, drink something cool... I'm okay.
It seems like in the winter... and mind you, it doesn't get as cold as in the Eastern states, I am always rubbing my hands together to keep them warm. Gloves don't always work because I'm at work typing and sometimes I feel like my fingers are about to fall off, not to mention my feet. In a cold environment, the body must work harder to regulate heat. When I exercise, geez... it takes a while for my body to start getting warm, it's slow and painful lol... until finally it has enough heat and I feel like moving and motivated... it is HARD to start exercise in the winter, all I want to do is stay under the covers under a thick pajama! But my doctor says that I MUST keep exercising even in the coldest of winters lol.
Yes, it does feel good to be under the covers, snuggled while enjoying some hot chocolate but we can't do that all day lol and we must get to work or our chores. Getting out of bed in the mornings is a nightmare... not to mention the cold toilet seats! lol My friends and family members who suffer from arthritis are wishing for warm weather. Simple: Cold hurts me, sweating doesn't.
I guess I am like a bear, when it gets cold... my biggest wish is to hibernate

Oh Teresa.
Well, we're officially supposed to get snow Thanksgiving night, and should wake up to some on Friday. I'll believe it when I see it! I'm actually excited about that...that's 'decorating day' for me, and I'd love to have snow to get me in the spirit of things!

We're seeing a few flurries, but nothing serious. The temp has dropped six degrees since I got up this morning, from 34 to 28.
