| No problem. :idance: I do have to say I didn't like Simon's hissy fit when David Cook simply said that what he had to do was win us (the public) over and not him (Simon). That's something I would have said because Simon started putting him down because he was a 'word nerd' and saying that the whole video about crozzword puzzles didn't help him. How stupid is that? What does that have to do with him singing?? I thought this was a singing competition? The question that every contestant was answering was "Something that America would be surprised to know about me is... " and that is what David shared... who knew Simon would critizise him for it... Take a chill pill Simon :bash: LOL I don't think David was rude in what he said... he said it 'as a matter of factly' not with an attitude or stuff like that... | |

| Okay, what happened to the girls? Nobody really outstood for me tonight. But I know there are some with really powerful voices in there. But the ones I'm pulling for are: Carly Ramiele and Kristy (She said she's a good country singer... so I would like to see that... | |

| Seriously Carol, what the heck happened last night?!?! Good grief, I was bored silly! The only ones I liked were the ones you mentioned, and Brooke White. I voted for her. But none of them were at their best last night, that's for sure. Oh, and I thought Sayesha did a good job last night, even though the judges didn't really like her. At least she was in TUNE! “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

| I have a feeling that when they get to the final ten or twelve, and they're voted off one by one, the guys will be out-numbering the ladies. I feel that Carly did the best last night, although I'm not a huge fan of hers. What was up with Amanda? Or should I say...........Elvira? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |

| I agree, Teresa. And it's fine by me! I wanted Blake last season, so I'd be all for a guy getting it this time around. I agree that Carly was best last night too...she has really good control. I'd like to hear her do a ballad now. Oh, but Amanda!! I can't believe the judges were so kind to her. I actually turned the volume down on my tv, she was so bad! I'm glad they told her how it is with her 'look'...it's just not workin'! I thought Kady Malloy was especially pitchy too...like Randy said, she just never found her note. I get frustrated when these people defend themselves after the criticism too, with comments like, "I was just having fun." Um, it's a singing competition. You can have fun, but you're supposed to be able to carry a tune while doing so. “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

| LOL, Amy!! I agree! Simon's criticism may be a little harsh at times, but he speaks the truth. You need to have "tough" skin to be in the entertainment business. This is only the beginning stages for some of them. It will get harder as they go, so it's better to prepare them now. I've said it before, but Simon usually says what everyone is thinking, but too afraid to say. | |

| Exactly. I know people think he can be cruel, but this is a cruel business! I'm sure there are much harsher people out there than Simon in the industry. If they can't take it, they probably shouldn't try to get into it in the first place. “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

| Jacob, I always love your reviews with the pics! Very cool!
I'm anxious to hear Kristy's country voice too...I'm not into country, but I just have a feeling that's her thing. I do like some country (like Maritina, Shania, and Carrie Underwood (at least some songs)...oh, and Tim McGraw).
Gin, did you mean Amanda's hair, or Brooke's? I kind of thought Brooke looked cute...she had the whole natural kind of 70's thing going on. It'll be interesting to see if Amanda takes the advice of the judges and really changes her look next week. If she's serious about winning this, she'd better! “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

| I missed the show last night! I thought it was on from 9-10 on Thursdays...guess not! I was only surprised with Alexandrea...not surprised with the other 3. Alaina's not bad, and I hate to quote Simon , but I just never heard anything distinctive about her voice. I always feel worst for the youngs ones when they go though. It's not easy, I'm sure. “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

| I just talked to my parents and they said they thought Alaina sounded better than she'd ever sounded on that final song! They said she was crying, but as the other girls sang with her, she found her strength and then sounded great! I agree with you Jacob...sometimes we just need more time to see everyone's true potential. It's too bad, but you're right, someone has to go! (I would have MUCH rather seen Amanda or Aish'a go though ). “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

| It will be interseting to hear what Amanda sings next week, as well as how she looks. I think that the bottom eight was accurate last night, but Luke should have gone home before Robbie. Luke's voice just isn't a powerhouse. I guess it doesn't really matter if they go home this week or next. It wasn't like Robbie would have won anyway. Same with the ladies that were in the bottom eight. I do think that Danny has a much better voice than Sanjaya ever did. Sanjaya's voice wasn't strong enough, and Danny's could be. He carries a much better tune than Sanjaya. I'm not too impressed with the ladies anymore. None of them really stand out. The only one for me is David A. If he doesn't win, he'll definitely have a wonderful career ahead of him, just like Chris Daughtry. | |
