| I think Kristy was awful. I'm a country girl before anything, but she messed that up. Poor David....forgetting the words hurt him so much. I know he's awesome, but he might need to wait another year. Brooke is great....I do want to see her sing an upbeat song though. Amanda...well----WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE REMOVE THE ZEBRA FROM THE STAGE? Like Simon...I didnt understand a word she spat out. SORRY all you Amanda fans---she just needs to stop. My picks this week to go home would be Amanda and Kristy. Stay tuned! It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart | |

| I think that we just agreed that Amanda sounded much better last night than she did the past couple of weeks. I don't think she'll last too much longer.
Carol: I'm not sure what it is about Carly. There may have been a time, early on, that she came off kind of arrogant, and it bugged me. Or maybe it was the fact that Simon kept saying how great she was when I didn't think she sounded any better than a couple of the other girls. Maybe the fact that she had a recording contract a few years ago......................There are just others that I like alot more.

| They haven't shown Carly's boyfriend since try-outs, but his WHOLE body is tattooed. That was so weird to see. What is he trying to hide? I mean, I can understand having a few tattooes, but your whole body? Even his face! | |

Ooh, yeah...Eek, Ick, YUK!! And I know what I was going to mention about her. Ok, I need to go back and see if this is REALLY the case, but has anyone else noticed that her accent has 'thickened' over the last couple of weeks? I don't remember her talking in such a thick Irish accent in the auditions, or when she first started competing. I know it's not really a reason to 'pick' on someone, but I have to wonder if she thinks that it will help in some way, because she has the accent? I don't know, but I'm just speculating why exactly she would really lay it on thick. I don't think this is just my imagination. Maybe Michael has been getting a lot of attention as the 'Austalian', and she doesn't want people to forget that she's the 'Irishwoman'? Who knows, but it's kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just all in my head? “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

| Oh, yes, Jacob...she did just get married! I wonder why they haven't shown her hubby in the audience. They always show Brooke's...he's there every week! But I suppose some people have to work for a living! I'm curious how people manage to be there for almost every air date. Makes no sense to me! “Not all of us can do great things. | My husband had said that during Hollywood week, Carly said that her husband would most likely not make an appearance because he didn't think that people would understand him with his full body tattoo. We just "wouldn't get him." That's why she bugs me!!!!!!!!! Like it's our fault that we wouldn't understand him. He was there during auditions though, so I don't know. They're a little "out there" for me. And yes, Amy, I see what you mean about her accent. | |

| I'm in the minority, but I loved Ramiele's In My Life. It was very gentle and understated, just as that song should be. And here's where the judges tend to contradict themselves. After she sang, they were telling her that they kept waiting for something BIG to happen in the song, but that it never did. But we all know that if she'd tried to jazz it up or gone for the big notes, they would've told her, "Just sing the melody!" So who knows what the judges want.
Speaking of singing the melody, David Enchilada totally lost the melody of We Can Work it Out. I didn't like his rendition at all. I know he didn't want to do another ballad, but I bet he would've done great with And I Love Her, or The Long and Winding Road.
And I don't know why Kristy picked Eight Days a Week. That's one of the few clunkers in the Lennon-McCartney catalog, IMO. Several years ago, Alison Kraus did a bluegrass version of I Will (that song I posted on Valentine's Day). I was thinking Kristy would have done well with that

| LOL, Rob!! I thought you were talking about David Hernandez! I thought you were saying that he was a "hot" enchilada because he used to be a "dancer." His song wasn't too good either. Very cruise ship. LOL!! | |

I think his name is Archuleta. That's right LOL Well... I got some little scoops from 'Idol Tonight'. ** They call Michael 'Papa Johns' because he's the oldest. ** They asked the contestants what they did to get pumped befoe going out on stage and I thought it was funny when Michael said he bench pressed Ramiele... and Ramiele said she benched pressed Michael ** Danny said that Michael would always be telling me to style his hair a little different.. he would say to Danny: "Go 'biggah' with your hair". ** After David Cook finished his song last night... what we didnt' see during the commercial breaks was that he got teary eyed and emotional from being on stage and feeling the love of the people ** Danny said he's going to be on the audience everytime for Ramiele and they have this heart sign they do with their hands...

| My husband and I saw Carly's husband in the audience tonight. Tattoes and all! He must have decided that he didn't care if we "understood" him or not. America got it right tonight with who was voted off. This contestant had a nice voice, but a little too cabaret for me. | |

I agree with you Teresa about the cabaret thing...

I absolutely agree with you Rob...they do this every season (more so in the last 2 I'd say than ever) and it has to be VERY confusing for the contestants! It's not like these people are mind-readers!! I kind of agree with you about Ramiele, but I think you can be understated and still 'shine' and I just wasn't feeling that from her. I felt like Brooke's and Jason's were both understated too...but I 'felt' both of them. This is one time when I agree with Paula (LOL, it's pretty rare for me! ), I like Brooke and Jason because you can feel that they are feeling the music. I'm not sure Ramiele was...I always feel like she's 'thinking' too much during her songs. But again, I have seen her really shine and I know she has it in her! I hope she comes back strong next week because I really like her! Ok, I'm a little upset about David H. leaving last night, but only a little. I think that Sayesha OR Kristy should have left first. I think Sayesha was really weak, and I don't think she has it in her to really 'own' that stage....not like we saw some of the others do. I just don't think Kristy's going anywhere anytime soon because she still has the country people that will want to see her in, just like the rockers are keeping Amanda in. But David, as Teresa said once, is a 'dime a dozen'...he's good, but he's really not all THAT special, and I don't think it would have been much longer that he'd be in the competition anyway, especially with some people possibly holding his past against him. So in the short of things, I suppose it's all good. I did think he was quite cocky last night though, and that turned me off, so it's hard for me to feel that badly for him. LOL, can I just say, when they gave Kristy the mike, I was cringing...like PLEASE, spare us all!!!! Poor thing. She is so much better than that. I get that she wanted to try country, but I'm sorry...NOT with the Beatles and at least not with that song, as Rob had said. She was really cute though, when she said to Ryan to just hand her the microphone, because she knew it was her! And then she laughed at herself...that shows great maturity that she could laugh at herself right then and I must say, personality wise she has really grown on me. Finally, in conclusion (LOL, I feel like I should say that, because I feel like I'm writing an essay! ), it was more obvious than ever last night (at least for me) how much stronger the guys are than the girls, overall. That group song was seriously lacking, and it's because the girls are weak performers...none of them except for Carly can really belt it out when they need too, especially in their lower register. They all have their own 'individual' strength, but as a group they can't bring it like the guys can. The guys really sound good together, but not the girls. JMO. “Not all of us can do great things.
