Oh, Carol, I watched that the other night and was smiling all the way through! David is a goofy kid, but about as lovable as they come! I'd adopt him in a heartbeat! (Only if he agrees to sing each day though! ).
Jacob, I'll be sure to post the "View" Youtube link once it airs...

That is so cool, Carol---thanks! I was checking out there MySpaces, and I was shocked to see how many more 'friends' that David Cook and even Jason have than David A.!!! D.C. has like 92,000!!! (D.A. has about 22,000!). I was just surprised...i figured David A. would have a zillion teens on there following him! Weird.

I had Tivo'd "The View" and just watched it. Two great performances by the David's. Hopefully they'll get David Cook's performance up on youtube soon. I love it when he just sings "Time of My Life" with his guitar. No other background instruments. His mom is just so sweet!!

You're welcome, Jacob. I just checked, and part 2 is still not posted!!
I just watched part 1 for the first time...I didn't have time to watch it earlier when I posted it. I didn't watch the View when it was on either (sorry, Teresa, even with your reminders, I still missed it!!! We went outside to play and it slipped my mind to record it! Ugh)....so anyway, I haven't seen David Cook perform yet! I hope someone posts it soon!
I love D.A.'s performance, but that's not my favorite song that he does, by any means. It's ok, but too repetitious and the rhythym almost makes me want to go to sleep. And the "Beautiful girls" line makes me want to gag. Other than that, I loved him!

Hey Amy, Did you ever get your DVR fixed? Are you able to record 2 shows at the same time now?

LOL, Carol, would you believe I haven't even checked that out?! Since American Idol, my whole focus has been on my son's graduation---the only free time I had was going on my two message boards on occasion---NO tv! So I just don't know...I'm going to have to get that figured out at least before the next AI rolls around! :haha: Thanks for asking.
Jacob, here's Part 2 of The View, with David Cook:
So cute that his mom was still moved to tears by him, after God only knows how many times she's heard that song!!! I can't wait for David to be able to do his 'own thing'.

Great news!! David Cook announced last night at the first Idol Tour in Glendale, AZ that his brother's tumor has stopped growing. (His brother, Adam, has brain cancer.) I watched it on you-tube. There is also a video of him performing "Billie Jean" that is AWESOME. The sound quality gets a little rough, but it's still good. I'm hoping that someone puts "Hello" up on you-tube. I guess that Adam was even in the audience last night.

Amy, for your enjoyment, there is also a video of Jason Castro. LOL!!
Jacob, I know that you had said that sometimes you-tube can be confusing, but if you just go to the website and type in one of the "idol's" names, it will say "Idol Tour 2008" or Glendale, AZ, and you can watch whatever video you want. I'm sure there will be quite a few in the next few weeks since there is a concert in a different city practically every night. Sorry, I didn't see a video on you-tube of Kristy. They have them for each of the David's though.
Update: If you go to you-tube and put in, American Idol Tour 2008, they'll be a list of more videos to watch. For instance, performances by Brooke White and Carly Smithson, and some other interviews. Also, you can watch the video of David telling the audience that his brother's tumor has stopped growing.
Jacob, there is now one of Kristy on you-tube from last night.

I didn't want to try and post a bunch of different videos, so I thought I'd just tell you guys how to find them. They do have one now of David Cook singing my favorite song, "Hello." The videos tend to start out quite rough, but once they get going, they're better quality. Until they get the videos into proper categories, if anyone is interested in watching David sing, "Hello," you have to type in, David Cook, Hello, San Diego. Otherwise, it won't come up if you just type in David Cook. Eventually they should all be under his name, but it's a little tricky to find certain videos.
Okay, just because I love the songs, "Hello" and "Billie Jean," when you are at you-tube, type in David Cook, San Diego and you'll see both videos. The quality is MUCH better with these two videos. It looks like it would be a pretty cool show.

There's a great video on youtube of David C., David A., and Michael Johns greeting fans. Just go to youtube and type in: American Idols greeting fans in San Diego. They are just so down to earth and personable. They're just getting off the buses in San Diego.
Amy, they don't show Jason greeting the fans, but they show him getting off of the bus. LOL!! David A. cracks me up. He's so funny.

Teresa, I don't know how I missed all your posts!! This has been happening lately----the board isn't indicating new posts to me (like with the little arrow?) like it used to. Not sure what the heck I've done...anyhoo...
Thanks for all this info! I haven't checked out the Idol stuff in awhile (LOL, at least a week! ), so I'll do that if I get a chance today. And so awesome about David Cook's brother!!!!!! WOW!!

LOL, Amy!! Sometimes the board does strange things. I just started to check youtube last week since the tour started. I figured that people would be posting videos of the concert. I was going to try and post a couple of the videos, but once you listen to one, another one of better quality is posted. I thought you could surf around and listen to a few.

Ugh....I listened to a few this morning, and although they did a great job, I can't deal with the people filming screaming like CrAzY during the performances!! They drive me nuts!!! I think David A. sounds better than ever (of what I could hear of him  )...a lot of control and he seems very comfortable. You can just tell he loves what he's doing. I'll try to listen to more after I've recovered a bit from all the annoying screaming!(Not that I wouldn't be if I were there , but I don't want to hear that when I'm listening here at home! ).

Yeah, he really is. I have seen a lot of videos of the american idol tour on youtube and people really go craaaaaazy when David Archuleta sings.... he could really do a solo concert... lol There was a girl who went to the Sacramento concert who said that David Cook and Jason Castro got a lot of screams but David Archuleta had the most and he was the only one who had a hard time trying to say something between songs.... people were just going wild! He also didn't have to do any encouraging to the crowd at all like all the others did, he just appeared on stage and applauses and screaming began. It was Archimania! lol Go David!
"When You Say You Love Me" He gets emotional at the end...
