Oh and about David & Kimberly....
When they were walking the red carpet, before the finale, David gave Kimberly a flower and asked her out to dinner because he said he heard she's said so many good thing about him..... and yes, they did go to dinner already.
I was working out at the gym when they showed on TV they were spotted having dinner together...

Okay, I just watched David Cook on Regis and Kelly, and then on the Ellen Degeneres Show. He is so amazing!! I just love listening to him in interviews. Granted, all of the interviews ask alot of the same questions about try-outs, etc., etc., but I could watch him all day. He sang the song that he sang after he was crowned AI on Regis, and then the Collective Soul song on Ellen. At the end of the Collective Soul song he did the most AMAZING falsetto that I've ever heard him do. It was just beautiful. He also played his guitar during that song. It's too bad that they have to shorten the songs so much on AI, because THIS time, he sang the Collective Soul song better than he sang it on AI. I can't wait for his record to come out. My goodness, you'd think I was in highschool again. I'm so giddy about this guy. Luckily I'm happily married. LOL!! I just love hearing him sing. He has such an amazing tone to his voice.

If you didn't get to see David Cook on Ellen, the entire interview and performance is on youtube. You'll love his performance!

Hmm...my son is on the tv where the DVR is right now and Ellen is on right now! It has to be on the channel in order to record it. Ugh...what time in the show did he come on, Teresa?
About Michael Johns, I do really love his voice and his performing ability---I think he's unique. I always liked him on the show, but yeah, these recent interviews are leaving something to be desired. I hope he doesn't turn too many people off...he may not seel too many cds that way!

Carol, You can see the American Idols on Larry King on youtube as well.
I watched David's finale performance of The World I Know on youtube and he did the falsetto at the end of that performance too, but I had forgotten. I just liked how he sang on Ellen this morning a little better.

That's strange.... I think you can be watching something else while it records another show on another channel Amy.
What DVR do you have? If it's DirecTV DVR you should be able to have 2 lines so it can record a show while you watch another thing on a different channel
Cool Teresa! I just saw that it is on youtube

I also have DVR, I just always call it Tivo. You can record 2 shows at once, but not a third. If you are recording one show, you can watch something else on a different channel. If you are recording 2 shows and want to watch TV, you have to be watching one of the two shows you are recording. You can't watch a different channel if you're recording 2 shows. If you have the dish it's Tivo. If you have directv, it's DVR. Amy, maybe your set-up is different, but you should be able to watch a different channel while one show is recording.

Hmm, well you ladies have me thinking now. We do have Direct Tv, and my hubby insists you have to watch the channel you're recording (which I think is ridiculous...how hi-tech is that?! ), so I will have to check into this more. Thank you!

Amy, just go and record a show right now, while watching a different channel. You'll be able to see if it's recording. I'm not sure what your remote looks like, but on ours, there is a "list" button that you click on and it shows you what shows are set to be recorded, as well as any shows that are currently being recorded.

But my hubby says the 'satelite' box has to be on the actual channel you want to record. If I change the remote to any channel (the way it's set up now) it will record that channel. I wonder if it has to be set up a different way?

Hmmmmmmmm, Amy I would call DirecTV and ask them about this. You should be able to record a show while watching a different channel.

Definetely call DirectTV. You should have two lines hooked on the back of your DVR.... if you do, you CAN record one show while watching another program....
When my brother got his DVR, the guy who set it up didn't do it right and only put one line on his DVR and if he recorded a show, he could not change the channel or else it would stop recording. I called the guy right away and told him he didn't do it right and he came back and put the other line there.

Thanks Carol! I will definitely call on that! It DOES drive me nuts that I can't watch sth else...if I'm recording sth (especially IDOL!!), I have to threaten the kids lives not to change the channel if they see the dvr is in record mode! I will definitely check this out, thanks Carol.
And Teresa I forgot to mention I watched Ellen on Youtube and WOW. Just WOW. I liked that song so much better in its entirety (I like it better than the song he sang when he won, which I know, he doesn't have a choice)...and you're so right about that falsetta! He's just amazing. It's clear that Ellen just adores him!
And did you guys see Simon on Ellen? I thought this was a really cute interview. He talks about Fantasia, and in true "Simon form", is brutally honest! :haha:

LOL, Amy!!!!!!!! I love that interview. Simon is so funny. I watched part 2 so that I could see what he said about Fantasia. That really was a dreadful performance when she was on AI. Simon's jaw drop was classic! I remember my jaw dropping as well. Not good, Fantasia, not good.

Okay I saw both interviews on Larry King (they were there twice). Michael .... it helps him that I love the guy , lol, but yeah, that Nigeria comment, I just didn't get.... but he seems to be a real funny guy, I can imagine doing the 'sexy dance' to the girls so they could all relax a little...
Okay, this part of the interview was soooo funny at the end! Now I get what David means when he says Archie is funny without even trying!

I'm not sure why they weren't included. They're on the tour though. I just finished watching David A. on Regis and Kelly that I taped this morning. He's such a cutie!!! I just love him! Such a sweet guy. It's so easy to make him laugh.
