| OMG.. It's a good day today. Had a 10:30 Dr.'s appointment with my reconstruction surgeon. Dr. Hottie (Dr. Zasuly) said my staples are healing real nicely and he then told me I can get my first injections today. Soooo... the girls are starting to grow woohoo..... Oh... and as a bonus for being such a good girl, he removed my drain tubes. I love that guy... Hot shower tomorrow morning. So now on the agenda, I have to go once a week for injections (approximately 7 appointments). Early April I meet my Radiation Oncologist so when I am ready for treatments we have everything in place and ready to go. Then I have one more appointment with my Oncologist, she wants to start me soon on my Hormone therapy which will consist of taking a pill a day for an entire year. The cancer is gone, the healing has begun... Life is good. Bring on summer, I'm ready... Lorrie

| Awesome news, my friend. I am so thrilled. We were talking about you at church last night. I was giving them an update on your progress. This makes it even better. | |

| Hello my prairie family, It is time to introduce you to another member of my "Dream Team". This is Dr. Nancy Davis my oncologist. She is the one solely responsible for making me sick with those wonderful chemo drugs. I also have to give her credit for containing my cancer to just that one tumor, I guess that is more important huh? Dr. Davis and I get along quite well and after yesterday's appointment she commended me on my attitude during the whole process thus far. She also asked me if I would consider talking to some of her patients whom are currently going through chemo. From a doctors stand point, not having been through chemo herself she doesn't have that connection with her patients. I told her I would be happy to do so if she found someone who she thought could use a little extra encouragement. I also gave her permission to use my chest MRI images to show women who have to go through surgery first then chemo, the effects that chemo has on a tumor. I was one of the lucky ones that got to see my tumor shrink because of having surgery after chemo. She was deeply touched and thanked me... Dr. Davis wants to see me again after I complete radiation and it will be at this point she will start me on my hormone therapy. I found out I could be on this medication for 5 years. My cancer (although it is all gone) was the type of cancer that feeds on estrogen, so this pill will block my estrogen for the length of time I am on it. Thus no cancer cells (if any left behind) can grow. Another preventative measure to make sure all is well. I have two or three more appointments to have my tissue expanders filled and the girls should be ready for radiation. I met with my radiation oncologist Dr. Rhode this past Monday and it looks like 6 weeks of radiation will start early next month. They will take a 3 D image of my body and set up the laser machine with my body coordinates. I will then get my three dot tattoos and start my first treatment the following day. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel... and no it is not a laser beam. LOL After radiation, lets say by late June early July I should be able to have my final surgery and have my expanders removed and replaced with my implants. By then I should be coloring my hair... LOL Well here is that picture as promised... Note the hair growth under my ball cap, you can see my "widows peak". Love you guys, Lorrie | |

| Dr. Nancy Davis...is she dating a Ronald? hmmm well give her some snowballs and thank her for giving you toxins to keep you here with us. It is so nice folks like her work daily to fight cancer.
You have had a wonderful attitude through out this whole thing. I think you could really help alot of people get through their journey. In three months this will all be behind you! Thanks for keeping us up on things....you have educated me thats for sure. It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart | |

| Lorrie...what can I say? What you are doing is great...and your attitude helps a lot in your "good bye cancer" processus. I know that you'll speak greatly to the women who needs to have confidence in their healing. Most of people thinks that when they hears the word "cancer" from their doctor, is just the end. You must show them, that cancer could be beated and that it could go away for ever if treatment is well done...and if we have confidence in God and puts things in His hands. Dr. Davis looks as a very sympathetic woman...And she looks as if she was your sister! Both of you are very similar in facial features. Vanesa. | |

| Hello everyone, I want to introduce you to another member of my "Dream Team". This is Dr. Zasuly (aka Dr. Hottie) my plastic surgeon. Yesterdays appointment with him brought me to my final expansion of the "girls". I have an appointment on May 9th with my Radiation Oncologist Dr. Rhode and I will then have my simulation done. Basically what that is it's a body scan of my torso area, so they can set up the radiation laser for the right coordinates to zap my chest area and avoid the organs underneath. I also have another appointment with Dr. Zasuly and we will start talking implants and what still needs to be nip tucked my final surgery after radiation. So May and June will leave me busy with radiation appointments. I will have to go 5 days a week for 6 weeks, zapping mostly the lymph nodes and my skin tissue on my left side only. Dr. Zasuly was a fun doctor with a great sense of humor. We had many a laughs in those exam rooms, but what else can you do when a stranger is working on your chest? When this picture was taken, he said to his nurse Cathy "Make sure you get in the chest". Spoken like a true man... Oh and as you can also see, although it's not a good picture of me you can see my new hair growth. I have used the color dye bottle once.. | |
